By accessing and using School Email Summary, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

School Email Summary is a web application that:

• Connects to your Gmail account with your permission
• Reads school-related emails from the past 10 days
• Generates AI-powered summaries organized by child and school
• Sends these summaries to your specified email address

Eligibility

You must be:

• At least 18 years old
• A parent or legal guardian of the children whose information you provide
• Authorized to grant access to the Gmail account you connect

Use of the Service

You May

• Use the Service for personal email organization
• Configure settings for multiple children
• Generate email summaries as frequently as needed
• Delete your account and data at any time

You May NOT

• Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service
• Abuse the Service or overload our systems
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Gmail Access and Data Use

By authorizing our access to your Gmail:

• You grant us permission to read emails from specified school domains
• You understand we use AI (Anthropic Claude) to process email content
• You acknowledge that email content is processed but not permanently stored
• You can revoke this access at any time via Google account settings

We will ONLY:

• Access emails matching your configured school domains
• Read emails from the past 10 days
• Use email content to generate summaries

AI-Generated Summaries

Accuracy Disclaimer

• Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude)
• While we strive for accuracy, AI may occasionally misinterpret information
• You should verify important information from original emails
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI summaries

Fees and Payment

• The Service is currently provided free of charge
• We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with 30 days notice

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Disclaimers

Service Provided "As Is"

• We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis
• We make no warranties about reliability, accuracy, or availability
• We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are NOT liable for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (currently $0)
• We are NOT responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated summaries

Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• We may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date and notifying you via email or in-app notice.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
